The Geriatric Psychiatrist will work mainly at the Abbotsford Senior Clinic and engage with patients at Ridge Meadows and Royal Columbian Hospitals. Your responsibilities include providing exceptional mental health care, developing team-oriented relationships, and overseeing the education of geriatric residents and medical students. The role entails outreach alongside consultations to ensure all patient needs are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities:



• Assess and deliver care for older adult patients • Collaborate with assisted living and long-term care physicians • Conduct and facilitate family meetings and case discussions • Maintain continuity of care through effective partnerships • Fulfill ECT and emergency on-call responsibilities

Requirements: • Psychiatric board certification with a focus on geriatrics • Demonstrated experience with outpatient care practices • Strong advocacy and communication abilities • Ability to work within a team-oriented team environment • Commitment to patient-centered care and education
