The City of Belleville is hiring a Wastewater Collections Locator for a temporary full time position within its Environmental Services Department. This role emphasizes safety, infrastructure management, and responsiveness.
In this position, you'll report directly to the Wastewater Collection Supervisor, engaging in locates, leak detection, and operational monitoring. Robust communication skills are essential as you will work closely with property owners and contractors to maintain public safety through effective wastewater management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct locates for municipal infrastructure according to regulations
• Investigate municipal infrastructure records thoroughly
• Operate pumping stations and associated equipment safely




• Participate in sewer maintenance activities and inspections
• Provide timely response to operational emergencies
Requirements:
• Two-year post-secondary degree in Civil or Construction Engineering
• Valid Class DZ Driver's license with clean record
• Three years of experience in a wastewater collections system
• License for Wastewater Collection Class 2 required
• Recent Criminal Record Check must be provided
