Join UHN's prestigious Princess Margaret Cancer Centre as a Leukemia Coordinator. This permanent full time role focuses on patient care coordination, emphasizing advanced nursing practices in a vibrant medical workplace.
As a vital member of the Leukemia Program team, you will manage and coordinate care for leukemia patients while engaging with interdisciplinary teams. With a focus on transitioning care and planning for transplants, you'll also leverage your expertise to solve complex management challenges and provide education to staff and patients alike.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage care for leukemia patients in collaboration with providers • Facilitate allogeneic blood and marrow transplant processes • Consult on complex patient management issues • Conduct educational sessions for patients and staff • Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives
Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Master’s preferred • Current Ontario nursing license and BCLS certification • Minimum five years in advanced clinical practice • Oncology Nursing Certification preferred • Solid interpersonal and organizational skills
