Join the Inclusive Education Department in Hope, B.C. as a District Counsellor, focusing on mental health support for K-12 learners. This itinerant role involves collaboration with various teams and versatile schedule to serve diverse student needs.
You will lead initiatives around SOGI and Violence Threat Risk Assessment, partnering with Indigenous communities while providing critical services to students and families at school and in their homes. Your work will include not only counselling but also advocacy and connecting families with essential community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide mental health services to students in various settings
• Support safety planning and incident response strategies




• Collaborate with teachers and school teams for student success
• Advocate for families and promote resource connections
• Deliver training on assessment, instruction, and behaviour support
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Counselling (school focus preferred)
• Active B.C. Teaching Certificate
• Knowledgeable about Ministry of Education policies
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Previous experience with crisis intervention preferred
