Job Description

Houseperson

At Fairmont Chateau Whistler, an exceptional guest experience begins before check‑in, and extends throughout every stay. As a Houseperson, the organizational support you provide to the Housekeeping team will ensure our guest rooms are well equipped and welcoming.

This is a full‑time, seasonal role . We are looking for candidates to start in Summer 2026 .

Starting Rate of Pay: $21.65 per hour. We recognize tenure through our compensation – hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly up to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $28.40.

Responsibilities

- Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies
- Stock linen closet and supplies area
- Clean and disinfect public areas such as hallways, washrooms, changing rooms, showers and elevators
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers




- Report and store lost and found items
- Respond to all Housekeeping and Royal Service calls, which includes guest deliveries and requests
- Assist the Room Attendants in bringing them required supplies

Qualifications

- Previous guest service and/or Housekeeping experience is an asset
- Must be physically fit and able to carry/move heavy loads – up to 50 pounds
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset
