Job Overview
Join our team as a Youth Care Worker / Personal Support Worker on a full‑time or part‑time basis. In this role you will provide care, support, and guidance to children, youth, and adults with complex needs, working within a structured, person‑centered group living setting. You will be a key player in creating a safe, nurturing environment and helping participants reach their full potential.
Work Hours
- Weekdays: 23:30‑09:30, 15:00‑00:00
- Weekends and non‑school days: 08:00‑20:00, 09:00‑21:00, 10:00‑22:00, 11:00‑23:00, 12:00‑00:00, 23:30‑11:30

Qualifications
Education and Professional Certification
- Completion of a high‑school diploma.
- A certificate, diploma, or degree in Child and Youth Care, Disability Support, or a related field is an asset.
Experience
- At least one year of experience working with children, youth, and/or adults with behavioral, cognitive, mental health, or developmental challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate support to individuals with complex needs, fostering a protected, nurturing environment.
- Create and implement engaging activity plans that encourage participant involvement.
- Teach essential life skills such as self‑care, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and building positive social connections.
- Resolve conflicts with empathy and apply behaviour‑management strategies including conflict resolution, crisis management, and life‑space interviewing.
- Collaborate with clinical professionals and program managers to share insights that inform treatment plans and goal setting.
- Prioritize, promote, and reinforce safe work practices for participants and staff.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve care delivery.
- Complete documentation and reports accurately, meeting agency standards.
- Represent the agency’s values, demonstrating fairness, respect, and positivity.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support participants and the team.
Requirements
Must hold a class five (5) novice two (2) or higher driver’s licence and be eligible for coverage under our commercial auto insurance policy. The role involves shift work across 24/7/365 operations.
Compensation
Starting at $25.06 per hour, depending on experience.
