Pharmacy Technician – Assist the pharmacy team with prescription production, customer service, and sales support across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify customer prescriptions, gathering all necessary information.
- Maintain patient and drug information files.
- Check pharmaceutical products prepared by other regulated or unregulated pharmacy personnel.
- Confirm accuracy and completeness of products before release.
- Prepare prescription labels and affix auxiliary labels to containers.
- Reconcile accounts and collect outstanding monies from patients where necessary.
- Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, mix, and reconstitute medications.
- Price prescriptions and prepare receipts, invoices, letters, memos, and general filing.
- Stock medications and related supplies, rotate and monitor stock.
- Maintain the perpetual inventory system in Kroll.
- Ensure customer privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- Registered pharmacy technician certification with kept registration to the appropriate pharmacy association.
- High level of professionalism and strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of skilled discipline, technical specialties, and related processes.
- Ability to implement practical procedures within moderately complex systems.
- Leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Experience handling cash accurately.
- Experience with Kroll is an asset.
- Respect for confidential and individual rights of customers.
- Effective oral and telephone communication with coworkers, supervisors, suppliers, physicians, and customers.
