Reporting to the Director of Maintenance and Engineering, the Automation Technician plays a key role in maximizing efficiency and safety. This position focuses on managing HMI’s, PLC’s, and VFD’s, while ensuring compliance with safety codes. With a focus on continuous improvement, the technician will lead projects and utilize hands-on mechanical and electrical knowledge to drive results.
Key Responsibilities: • Manage HMI’s, PLC’s,
and VFD’s for compliance • Ensure timely repair of automation equipment • Execute corrective actions for equipment failures • Lead automation-related projects and initiatives • Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
Requirements: • Post-secondary education in Automation or Electrical • Experience in manufacturing automation preferred • Proficiency in communication protocols and systems • Hands-on knowledge of HMI’s, PLC’s, and VFD’s • Robust interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
