Contribute to mental health recovery as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Forensic Transitional Unit at Ontario Shores Centre. Provide specialized care with compassion and effective communication.

This RPN role focuses on delivering recovery-oriented support to patients with complex mental illnesses in a secure forensic workplace. As an active member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessments, care, and the implementation of treatment plans. Flexibility to work across various units as patient needs change is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:



• Provide specialized nursing care to complex mental illness patients • Utilize recovery-focused models in patient interactions • Collaborate within the interprofessional team for seamless care • Document care needs accurately in compliance with standards • Ensure adherence to relevant legislation and CNO standards

Requirements: • Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario • Current CPR - Health Care Provider certification • Mental Health certification completion encouraged • Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills • Recent psychiatric nursing experience preferred
