As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide community visits to assess the abilities and needs of individuals while working with multidisciplinary teams. You will work independently with primarily adult clients in their homes on a face‑to‑face basis, or in a virtual capacity for those living outside the region. This role is ideal for those who want to use a variety of therapy skills to improve the well‑being of others and build a passion for home care.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of healthcare workers and other community resources
Provide assessments in a home setting based on presenting impairment or diagnosis using standardized tools
Conduct speaking and swallowing assessments for individuals with a wide variety of concerns, including those recovering from stroke or other neurological problems
Design a care plan using evidence‑based information, relevant best practice guidelines, and clinical expertise
Partner with clients’ family members, caregivers, and other healthcare specialists regarding care goals and service plans
Maintain skilled client records related to client encounters and plans in compliance with ParaMed’s policies and the standards applied by the regulatory body or CASPLO
Qualifications & Requirements
Registration with the provincial College of Audiologists and Speech‑Language Pathologists of Ontario in good standing
Acceptance of new graduates
Licensing
Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
Knowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and families
Current certification (within the past 12months) of First Aid and CPR
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Ability to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
