Empower individuals in crisis as an MHSU Access & Crisis Response Counsellor in Victoria. This role supports mental health through immediate intervention and collaboration with community resources.
Positioned at The Harbour Protected Consumption Site, you will play a vital role in addressing mental health and addiction issues by providing assessment and stabilization services. Candidates need a Baccalaureate Degree and two years of relevant crisis intervention experience. Your critical judgment and interpersonal skills will aid in managing client assessments and planning effective service strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer urgent clinical responses to at-risk clients
• Conduct risk assessments and create stabilization plans
• Engage in team-oriented service planning with a multidisciplinary team
• Provide harm reduction services and community liaison
• Document client information accurately
Requirements:
• Baccalaureate Degree in a health-related field
• Minimum of two years of crisis intervention experience
• Familiarity with mental health legislation
• Valid BC Driver's License for operational needs
• Solid organizational and communication skills
