The University of Calgary's Cumming School of Medicine seeks an Intermediate Data Management Specialist to refine data management strategies in cancer research. This role offers full time, fixed-term work focused on data coding and automation.
As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will design and implement coding pipelines to automate data cleaning and processing. You'll report regularly to supervisors and collaborate on diverse research initiatives. Your expertise in managing data sets will directly support the advancement of significant cancer research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage reproducible coding pipelines
• Assist with grant writing and technical documentation
• Perform data quality checks and analyses
• Document all processes for transparency and knowledge sharing
• Work on manipulating both tabular and non-tabular data
Requirements:
• Minimum B.Sc. in Data Science or similar field
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, and data structures
• At least one year of relevant experience in health settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge in biostatistics or data science is an asset
