The KIDO Minoyaawibimoojikewinan Coordinator will work closely with KIDO staff and the community to facilitate healthy living and cultural celebrations. This position requires an individual recognized for their wisdom and traditional knowledge by the KI Chief and Council. Responsibilities include networking with community members, coordinating events, and delivering prevention-focused programming for children, youth, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop plans for KI traditional ceremonies and cultural events • Collaborate on prevention and crisis programming • Offer a forum for community knowledge sharing • Participate in and support KI community events • Assist with healing and custom adoption processes
Requirements: • Solid understanding of KI culture and traditions • Ability to show compassion and treat everyone fairly • Familiarity with KIDO’s MDK services • Capability to communicate in Anishininiimowin • Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks required
