Domtar is looking for a Maintenance Superintendent to be part of their team in Thunder Bay. Reporting to the Sawmill Manager, this full time position involves ensuring the highest safety standards and effectively managing maintenance activities. Your role will include technical support, leadership, and collaboration with production personnel to achieve maintenance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership in safety and maintenance standards
• Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance tasks
• Utilize CMMS for effective work and resource management




• Perform regular equipment inspections for repairs
• Oversee quality of work done by subcontractors
Requirements:
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologist or trades certification
• 5 to 8 years of maintenance experience preferred
• Robust detail-oriented and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experienced with sawmill equipment and systems
