You aremechanically inclined, have a passion for hockey, and areexperienced working in a hockey arena . As a hard-working,self-sufficient, and dependable employee, you're excited to take on this role that includes maintaining the refrigeration plant and all other aspects of the building as well as having the opportunity to drive the Zamboni. This position includes working only dedicated graveyard shifts, with a shift differential of $2.50 provided for overnight hours.
This is youropportunity to use yourIce Facility Operator (IFO), Refrigeration Operator (RO)certification or 4th-5th class Power Engineer certification and mechanical aptitude to keep Planet Ice's facility in Coquitlam running at peak efficiency. You will be workingalongside an amazing team!!
To qualify for this role you already have your IFO or RO certificate, or you are a4th or 5th class Power Engineer , and for bonus points,
you have aknack for fixing all things mechanicaland a couple years' experience working in an arena. If you're new to the world of hockey arena operations though have strong mechanical aptitude, relevant work experience, and a positive "can-do" attitude,we can provide trainingand assist you to become IFO/RO certified.
