Become a Youth Outreach Specialist with Nezul Be Hunuyeh Child & Family Services in Fort St. James, BC. Provide tailored cultural support and interventions for youth in surrounding communities.
This full time role focuses on offering holistic service and engaging with youth through various initiatives including mentoring and workshops. You will build connections, promote independent living skills, and ensure effective service planning while collaborating with community partners. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of Dakelh youth and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Connect with youth for culturally relevant support
• Implement assessment-based goal planning interventions
• Develop workshops to encourage healthy lifestyle choices
• Foster partnerships with community service providers
• Keep documentation aligned with NBHCFSS standards
Requirements:
• Education in Human Services or Youth Services preferred
• Understanding of harm reduction frameworks
• Cultural competency in Dakelh community work
• Class 5 Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract required
• Provide Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Clearance
