Join GFL as a DZ Driver and Loader, operating commercial waste collection trucks to ensure reliable service and safety on your designated route. This role centers on driving, loading, and maintaining vehicle standards.
In this position, you'll be responsible for operating waste and recycling collection vehicles on established routes. You will load materials, compact products, and manage necessary inspections of the vehicle each day. Communication with the mechanic about any mechanical issues will be pivotal, alongside adhering to safety standards set by the company and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate a commercial waste/recycling collection vehicle
• Load waste and recyclables into the vehicle
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report mechanical problems promptly
• Maintain route quality and safety standards
Requirements:
• Valid DZ driver's license
• Clean CVOR and Driver's Abstract
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience
