Potential applicants can learn more about B2Gold and its operations through its corporate website at Description The Underground Electrician is a full-time, on-site role based in Medstead, SK, supporting electrical systems in underground mining operations. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, lighting, and power distribution systems in accordance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. The Underground Electrician inspects and tests electrical systems, performs preventive maintenance, and responds to equipment failures to minimize downtime. The role also requires accurate documentation of maintenance activities, collaboration with mine operations and maintenance teams, and adherence to company policies and procedures.



The individual must consistently work in an underground environment, following all site safety protocols and participating in regular safety meetings and training.
Qualifications

- Proven experience as an industrial or underground electrician, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices for working with high-voltage and low-voltage systems in underground settings.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals, and to use diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, including experience with lockout/tagout procedures and working in confined spaces or challenging conditions.
- Relevant trade certification or journeyperson status in electrical (or equivalent), with additional training in underground mining or industrial electrical work considered an asset.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with maintenance, engineering, and operations personnel.
- Physical ability to perform duties in an underground environment, including lifting, climbing, and working in varying temperatures and conditions.
- Previous experience in the mining industry and familiarity with remote or northern work environments are beneficial.
