Job Overview

Reporting to the Agro Manager, you’ll be involved in:
Routine maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on Agro equipment, Petroleum Trucks and other related machines
Troubleshoot mechanical and basic issues with parts, and equipment as needed
Support compliance checks related to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Transport parts, tools, and vehicles within the shop or yard as needed and provide general support to site operations
Respond to service calls in a timely and qualified manner
Support inventory management and stocking of repair parts and tools
Maintain a clean and organized work area, properly storing tools and equipment, disposing of waste materials, and cleaning up spills promptly.
Uphold all safety standards and operational policies of the Co‑op and WorkSafeBC

What You Bring




Completion of a Heavy-Duty Transport Mechanic Program or 3 years Apprentice is an advantage
Mechanically inclined and well experienced is an asset
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract, Class 3 or 1 is an asset
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Familiarity with Agro industry equipment is an asset but not required
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle emergency repairs
Valuable communication and record-keeping skills
Willingness to complete certifications or training (e.g., Agro Mechanic courses, First Aid, TDG, WHMIS)
Experience with on Highway Trucks and Trailers
