Join Nova Scotia Health as a Cardiac Sonographer, utilizing advanced ultrasound technology for cardiac evaluations. This temporary full time role requires specialized skills, and offers a chance to make a difference in patient care.
Located at the Halifax Infirmary, you will perform echocardiograms, prepare summaries of findings, and collaborate with Echocardiologists on patient assessments. This role emphasizes your clinical skills in adult congenital heart disease and various stress echo procedures.
You will also rotate across multiple clinical sites to provide comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain diagnostic recordings and calculate measurements
Maintain patient files and document findings accurately
Assist Echocardiologist during advanced procedures
Provide maintenance on portable echocardiogram equipment
Discuss exams with physicians using PACS technology
Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
Certification from Sonography Canada and NSCMIRTP licensed
BLS certification is required
Minimum one year clinical experience preferred
Experience in adult congenital heart disease is an asset
