Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer, Saskatoon Office. Work with experienced engineers and collaborate across multiple teams on exciting projects. Your Main Responsibilities
Lead and support the development of junior team members through mentorship and guidance Organize, plan, and carry out geotechnical field investigations Complete geotechnical calculations and analyses across a variety of project types Conduct geohazard assessments and develop appropriate engineering designs Perform analysis and design work related to earthen dam structures, municipal and commercial infrastructures Install, monitor, and interpret data from geotechnical instrumentation Carry out construction inspections related to foundations, earthworks, and similar activities Prepare explicit and comprehensive technical reports Communicate project progress to project managers Contribute to proposal preparation and support business development efforts Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical,
or Geological Engineering Eligibility for registration with APEGS Master’s degree is considered an advantage, but not mandatory Approximately 5 or more years of applicable professional experience Experience in water structure design or foundation analysis and design is advantageous Experience coordinating geotechnical investigations is considered an asset Strong self‑starter with effective written and verbal communication abilities Demonstrated problem‑solving capabilities Capable of working independently with limited supervision Familiarity with geohazard assessments and/or dam projects is an asset Willingness and ability to travel and work in remote locations under varying weather conditions, when required Possession of a valid driver’s license Benefits
