ASR Group/Redpath Sugar offers 1‑2 year program called the Canadian Centre of Excellence which is designed to bring international specialists with experience in the sugar industry up to ASR standards. A career as Sr. Process Engineer with ASR Group will add recent skills, both technical and managerial. Ideally, the candidate has a qualification in chemical engineering and a minimum of eight years experience in a supervisory and/or technical position at a sugar refinery or factory. The successful candidates will have support and mentorship from process team members, company leaders and technical subject matter experts. Primary Responsibilities
Become familiar, learn and understand ASR regulations in the following areas: Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, environmental compliance and working in a unionized setting. Become competent in the following ASR software functions: process control HMI and the use of trends, data analysis, and statistical process control. Access and use lab reports, Daily shift report, Continuous Improvement tools, SAP maintenance system, Kronos attendance system. Familiarize and understand the following ASR services: steam, power and compressed air supply, lake water cooling system, condensate management, wastewater treatment, mud disposal, resin and Carbon
