Our client is sourcing for a Financial Analyst for a 5 month contract

About the Opportunity
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis
Perform detailed variance analysis (period-over-period and actual vs. prior results) and provide explicit, concise commentary
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data across reports and systems
Work with large datasets using Advanced Excel (including VBA and macros) to streamline and automate reporting
Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to validate financial results and resolve discrepancies
Support audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) for data extraction and reconciliation,



where applicable
Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes and internal controls

About You
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Solid accounting background with solid understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VBA and macros)
Experience with financial close and reporting cycles
Experience working in project-based environments or supporting project financials is an asset
Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other ERP systems is an asset
High attention to detail and robust analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in preparing financial commentary
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple reporting requirements
