Position Title

Building & Operational Assets Manager – Multi‑Site for the Head office and the shipping center at Ville St‑Laurent, Lachine and Bégin center.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Building & Operational Assets Manager – Multi‑Site is responsible for the management, maintenance, compliance, and optimisation of the physical infrastructures of two distribution centres and the Ville Saint‑Laurent head office, as well as operational assets such as forklifts and material‑handling equipment used across the national network.

Responsibilities

- Facility & Infrastructure Management: oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring proper functioning of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, security, and fire‑protection systems, and coordinate with external contractors.
- Plan, prioritise, and supervise maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements, support building‑related investment planning, and ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, CNESST, and insurer requirements.
- Operate and manage the fleet of forklifts and material‑handling equipment across the national network, and oversee operational equipment at Ville St‑Laurent sites.
- Maintain preventive maintenance programmes,



track asset condition, lifecycle, performance, and maintenance costs, and recommend replacements, upgrades, or acquisitions.
- Manage purchasing and inventory of operational supplies, maintain adequate stock levels, evaluate and recommend suppliers, and negotiate pricing and service agreements.
- Monitor expenses, ensure budget compliance, develop and manage budgets for facilities, equipment, and external services, analyze operating costs, and implement performance indicators.
- Work closely with operations teams to support daily activities, respond quickly to issues affecting productivity, and prioritise interventions based on safety and operational impact.
- Contribute to improving facilities, maintenance processes, and asset management practices, and provide guidance to internal teams regarding buildings, equipment, and service providers.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management, industrial maintenance, asset management, logistics operations, or a similar role.
- Experience in distribution centres, warehousing, logistics or production environments.
- Strong understanding of industrial/commercial building systems.
- Knowledge of material‑handling equipment such as forklifts and conveyors.
- Experience managing suppliers, contracts, and service levels.
- Strong budgeting, cost‑control, and analytical skills.




- Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards (CNESST).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and urgent situations.
- Strong organisational, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with standard computer tools; experience with maintenance or asset‑management systems is an asset.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
