This position is a CUPE 59 position and will be filled in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Should it not be filled in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, external candidates will be considered.

Job Summary

Under supervision of the Banking and Revenue Operations Manager, this position is responsible for supervising the processing of payments and related data for the Corporate Revenue Department.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Supervises, supports, develops and evaluates staff. Assists with ongoing performance management, including development of performance expectations for quality and service standards.
- Supervises data and payment processing operations and identifies opportunities for improvement while ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
- Reconciles and verifies financial transactions, investigates discrepancies, and ensures compliance with risk management practices, internal controls, financial regulations and audit requirements.
- Provides payment-related support to stakeholders, including managing EFT vendors, processing foreign currency and batch payments, and performing payment refund and invoicing processes.
- Serves as the escalation point for complex issues and complaints, liaising with internal teams, external agencies, and the public.
- Reviews, recommends and supports the implementation of revisions to the standards, procedures,



internal controls and forms related to payments and data processing.
- Supports the implementation and enhancement of new systems and technologies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience Requirements:

- Graduation from a two-year, post-secondary program in financial services, accounting, business or related field.
- Four years’ experience in financial services and/or coordinating the processing of revenue transactions and data, including two years’ in a supervisory role.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

- Considerable knowledge of payment systems, cash handling processes, reconciliations and financial controls.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate, supervise and coach staff.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and manage several concurrent priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify underlying issues, and recommend required changes.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures related to accounting and business practices.
- Demonstrated ability to deal respectfully, courteously and tactfully with external agencies, other civic employees,



and the public in difficult circumstances.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Skill in the use of a computer using the Microsoft Office Suite.

Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment.

Weekly Hours: 36.67

Salary Range: $75,132.24to$82,833.60 CADper annum (2026rates)
