Position Description: Senior Windows Administrator Work Mode: On-site Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Windows Administrator to join our Systems Administration team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing, maintaining, securing, and optimizing our Windows server environment.

This position requires strong hands-on technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate with various IT teams to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement of our infrastructure.

Your future duties and responsibilities: Key Responsibilities Windows Systems Administration Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server environments.

Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Manage Active Directory, including domain controllers, user accounts, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and security settings.

Perform patch management, system updates, and security remediation activities to protect systems from vulnerabilities.

Maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.

Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Simpli

Vity, and Citrix.

Support cloud-based services, including Azure Active Directory and Microsoft .

Participate in operating system upgrades and migrations (e.g., Windows Server to ).

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving multiple applications and infrastructure components.





Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Collaborate with local and global IT teams, including Network, Security, Database, and Application teams, to support daily operations and deliver integrated technology solutions.

Develop and maintain operational procedures, documentation, and technical standards.

Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance infrastructure efficiency, security, and scalability.

Provide input into hardware and software planning and budgeting activities.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Required Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in systems administration.

Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments.

Technical Skills Advanced expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy Management.

Strong understanding of networking protocols including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including patch management, access controls,



and vulnerability remediation.

Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Simpli

Vity, and Citrix.

Experience administering email and messaging platforms, including Microsoft and Exchange.

Experience supporting operating system migrations and application migrations.

Strong ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues across multiple platforms.

Professional Skills Experience delivering IT services in a global and multicultural environment.

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience in the banking industry, particularly investment banking, is considered an asset.

The determination of this range is based on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, as well as skilled licenses and certifications.
