Is this role right for you? In this role you will: Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Prepare and execute quarterly business plans to aid in the meeting of individual, regional and corporate targets Actively participate in prospecting Complete financial planning in the areas of risk management, estate planning, liability management, cashflow/budgeting, education funding, tax, retirement planning, investment management, practice management and goal setting Prepare comprehensive financial plans and specific investment strategies based on MD Management developed and managed optimal portfolio ranges Understand and comply with all industry regulations and MD''s program and process requirements Conduct financial planning seminars and information meetings throughout the region to inform clients about new strategies, legislative changes and MD Management''s programs Increase visibility of products and services through contact with centers of influence Keep current on issues affecting the financial affairs of clients, including a general knowledge of income tax, investment trends and products, as well as any other issues impacting clients Provide input to marketing and management concerning potential new products and services Travel within established travel circuit Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Education, Professional Experience, Certifications and Skills required: College or university degree. CIRO licensed as a Registered Representative (CIRO-RR) including completion of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE), Retail Securities Exam (RSE), RR Internal Dealer Training. F.
Pl. designation Life License (LLQP) is an asset.
Completion of the Group Annuity Sector (PQPAV) - Quebec offices only - is an asset.
You have a breadth and depth or core financial products and a high-level of comfort and confidence in presenting this information to clients.
Strong computer skills with an above average understanding of MS Word, MS Excel, and portfolio management and financial planning software.
Previous lending experience will be considered an asset A demonstrated track record of above average sales in a financial services or related environment 2+ years financial planning experience within the financial services industry Robust marketing skills Excellent public speaking abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills In addition to French, the successful candidate must also have sufficient knowledge of English, as the work involves interacting and collaborating regularly with groups and individuals based in Toronto, as well as constantly interacting with other people, including clients, who speak English, locally and elsewhere. #LI-AD1 #SWM
