Join the Centre for Northern Innovation in Mining (CNIM) as a Food Safe Level 1 Instructor. This casual role, available from June 2026 to June 2027, offers an opportunity to make a difference in Ayamdigut (Whitehorse).
In this instructor role, you will lead dynamic Food Safe Level 1 courses, helping students and community members gain important food safety knowledge. Your tasks will include lesson preparation, administering tests, and maintaining engagement through professional instruction. Previous teaching experience is valued, and travel to different locales will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead clear and engaging Food Safe Level 1 training sessions
• Prepare materials and organize the classroom environment




• Administer evaluations and keep attendance records
• Educate students on food safety laws and best practices
• Ensure a supportive learning experience for participants
Requirements:
• Valid Food Protected Level 1 Instructor Certification
• Experience in teaching or training preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
• Knowledge of food service, hospitality, or health regulations is an asset
