Job Description
Position Title: Shipping / Receiving

Term: Full Time Permanent
Reports to: Supervisor, Distribution
Direct Reports: 0
Hourly Range: $23.08-$25.80

Shift: This department operates 7 days a week. Shifts will vary based on business needs and will be discussed during the interview.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Load store orders from the cooler onto trucks for customer shipping.
- Verify that load orders are correct, strapped in properly, and that required equipment is assigned to the truck.
- Unload and receive products, complete proper paperwork, signoffs, and verification.
- Pile various sizes of boxes onto skids, ensuring neat, safe, and secure piles.
- Keep floors tidy of debris and broken eggs, and ensure the space between pallets and the wall is clear.
- Complete daily safety checks on the power cart and/or stacker; report any issues to the Supervisor.
- Move pallets of eggs from the grading floor to the graded cooler.
- Move inventory safely to avoid product breakage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school education preferred.
- Must be able to lift 1‑50 lbs.
- Must have attention to detail.
- Must have a strong work ethic, attendance, and willingness to work as a team player.
- Must be able to work in a loud and busy environment.
- Must be able to work in a cold workplace for order picking.
- Must be able to read and follow work instructions, policies on proper load procedures and order picking procedures.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
