We are coming to vacation in Malbaie from Aug. 7-15th.

We have a seven year-old special needs child and we are looking for an experienced, hard working, detailed and communicative nanny to help us for the week so we can enjoy a little break.

The primary job is to assist our daughter with activities of daily living.

About our daughter: Halcyon is a social, adorable, happy and loving seven-year-old.

She is non-verbal, non-ambulatory, with global developmental delays.

She loves to eat, and can bring the fork to her mouth, but is still learning to load her fork or spoon.

She has been going to the bathroom on the toilet since before she was 6 months, but she still does not communicate about when she needs to go.

We are looking for someone kind, playful, with positive intuition to be able to interpret her needs navigate the world and enjoy some family time.

She has hypotonia and weighs 45 pounds.

While she requires assistance getting into her stroller, up stairs, onto the potty, etc. she can mostly ambulate (with finger held assistance)



but there are times when her condition gets the better of her and she goes floppy.

At these times her 45 pounds can feel extra heavy, so the job requires strength, energy and stamina.

Some of her favorite activities are shaking her toy octopus, reading Brown Bear, bouncing on a peanut ball, laughing with people while holding their faces or touching their throat to feel the vibrations.

We are from the US so pay is negotiable, something like $20/hr US.

We could provide food, and even a room for the week if desired.

We are offering meaningful work in a fun work environment with a delightful little girl.

We are a loving family, deeply committed to our children, and like to treat our helpers as part of the family since they are what make our complex lives work.
