Hello, my name is Adele and my mom was diagnosed with dementia 2.5 years ago.
She is 70 years old and is quite autonomous still, but needs significant guidance in her daily tasks (including but not limited to: personal care/grooming, bathing/showering, getting dressed, going to the bathroom, making the bed, etc).
My mother lives in an apartment with my father (who still works full time) in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec.
We are currently seeking a full-time elder care provider to join our family (5-6 days per week - ideally Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm but fairly flexible).
We are open to both live-in and live-out arrangements, and we are specifically looking for someone who can provide companionship, home care (cooking, cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, run errands/grocery shopping nearby), and assistance with bathing and personal care for my 70 year old mother who has dementia.
The ideal candidate should have a compassionate and caring nature,
with a strong sense of responsibility and a genuine passion for helping others.
Experience in elder care is preferred but not mandatory.
We are offering a competitive hourly rate which is negotiable, and we are looking for someone who is committed to making a positive impact on my moms life.
This position would be to start as soon as possible.
