Power Engineer - 4th Class, Castlegar, British Columbia
Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Power Engineer - 4th Class for our sawmill. An Industrial Mechanic/Millwright at Interfor extends beyond typical maintenance of mechanical systems. This includes working with automated equipment, sophisticated PLC systems and remote/web-based technologies. The starting rate for this position is $47.18 per hour.

What You’ll Do

Work in a safe and efficient manner while following all safety rules and regulations.

Maintain a safe work environment.

Ensure consistent operation of our Energy Plant.

Work towards achieving operating targets.

Facilitate the reliable supply of services to the operation.

What You Offer

Energy systems experience preferred.

A valid TSBC 4th Class Power Engineering certificate.

Physical ability to work 12-hour shifts.

Proven leadership skills and experience.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.

Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Commitment to maintain a safe work workplace without compromise.
