Overview

BEUMER Group provides fully integrated automated high-speed airport baggage handling systems for small, medium, and large airports worldwide. This includes producing and integrating systems for security screening, storage, sortation and transportation of departure baggage from check-in to departure gate, as well as transportation of transfer and arrival baggage. Responsibilities

- Primary function is to induct bags onto the Baggage System via the in-feeds in a methodical and procedural manner.
- Ensure smooth running of systems by attending to jams immediately and also ensuring the system is not damaged after removing items that caused jams.
- Monitor and clear any blockages that prevent the flow of baggage.
- Hand scan every bag and fall back to keyboard mode if bags are not scanning, then promptly follow up with the Control Room.
- Physical baggage handling in the event of system failures.

Work Environment

- Fast-paced airport environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and variable temperatures.
- Frequent walking, heavy lifting, and standing throughout large airport facilities.

Qualifications

- Baggage sorting work and experience in material handling equipment preferred but not required.
- Technical Certificate
- RAIC Security Clearance,



or the ability to obtain such clearance
- Ability to comprehend strategy insights and values
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience in baggage handling or airport operations is an asset but not required.
