Position Summary
The Seafood Manager oversees the efficient and fiscally responsible operation of the department. Responsibilities include leading staff, ensuring top customer service, compliance with food safety protocols, and managing budgets and inventory.
Key Responsibilities
1. People Leadership: create a coaching culture, demonstrate leadership, manage direct reports, communicate operational requirements, and manage store operations.
2. Customer Offering: create an engaging shopping experience, provide superior service, demonstrate product knowledge, order, receive, organize, rotate products, and execute winning conditions.
3. Policy & Regulatory Adherence: implement corporate policies, ensure compliance with OH&S;, food safety, and submit documentation.
4. Financial: achieve financial targets, manage the department budget, perform forecasting and variance analysis, and control labor costs.
5. Personal/Professional Development: attend training, stay abreast of competitor activity, and recommend pricing and promotions.
6. Employee Engagement: support employee engagement and lead community and charitable events.
7. Other Duties: coordinate equipment maintenance, provide continuous improvement feedback, maintain a safe environment, and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced workplace.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Full knowledge of department operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full knowledge of total store operations.
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 18 months retail store experience, preferably in seafood.
- Experience reading and analyzing financial reports and budgeting.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $48,000.00 - $66,000.00 .
