Tanker Driver (Active Vacancy)

Primary Location: Thorold, ON

Shift: Full-time - 40 hours per week

Reports to: Regional Driver Manager

Compensation: $30/hr CAD + Advantages (Overtime paid for any time worked over 8 hours in a day)

In This Role, You Will

- Load, transfer, and unload raw product from a tanker truck
- Transport and unload chemicals into customers’ tanks safely and with the required paperwork
- Safely handle hoses during loading and unloading
- Perform pre and post-trip inspections
- Comply with all Company, Customer Federal, State, and Local laws, rules and regulations
- Become familiar with plant operating procedures
- Other duties as assigned

A Successful Candidate Has

- Minimum of two (2) years of recent tractor/tanker experience
- Minimum one (1) year of recent tanker experience
- Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License, CDL Class A,



with appropriate hazmat and tanker endorsements (US-specific) or an AZ license with TDG Training (Canada-specific)
- A clean driving record for the past three (3) years
- Be physically qualified to drive a motor vehicle and provide a valid medical card
- Be able to provide proof of experience or training to operate the type of motor vehicle used by Chemtrade safely

Physical Occupational Requirements

- Employee must frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs/ladders (including vertical)
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be fit for duty
