Contribute to the development of advanced automotive propulsion control systems in a collaborative workplace, working on cutting-edge technologies that drive the future of transportation.

Role Purpose Develop and evaluate automotive propulsion control systems and algorithms that support current and future vehicle programs.

Focus on early concept development, controls design, system analysis, testing, validation, and requirements generation for downstream software implementation teams.

Technical Responsibilities Develop automotive control system strategies and algorithms for propulsion applications.

Design and model control logic using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.

Support controls development for internal combustion engines, automatic and hybrid transmissions, electric motors, battery systems, and electrified propulsion technologies.

Analyze test data to evaluate control system performance and conduct benchmarking studies against competitive technologies.

Generate control requirements and system specifications based on engineering analysis and validation results.

Project Lifecycle Involvement Support multiple phases of development, from concept generation to final validation reviews.

Conduct vehicle testing, test bench development, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, and calibration support.

Prepare requirements for implementation teams and provide engineering recommendations.





Cross-Functional Collaboration Extensive interaction with internal stakeholders across the vehicle development organization.

Deliverables include engineering requirements, control system designs, performance data, validation results, and technical recommendations.

Troubleshooting & Investigation Responsibilities Analyze unexpected system behaviors and investigate control system issues using data-driven methodologies.

Conduct root-cause analysis and coordinate troubleshooting efforts with other engineering teams.

Validate corrective actions through testing and analysis.

Requirements Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Applied Physics, or any other relevant STEM-oriented degree from an ABET-accredited university. 5 years of experience in conventional and electrified propulsion system controls/calibration development.

Demonstrated ability in control algorithm development methods.

Strong team player with outstanding interpersonal skills and teamwork capabilities.

Effective problem-solving ability, either experienced-based or analytical.





Demonstrated technical leadership on propulsion system control strategy development projects.

Preferences Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink development, Stateflow modeling, and automotive control systems.

Experience with vehicle testing, dynamometer testing, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems.

Familiarity with automotive propulsion systems, internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, and electric vehicles (EVs).
