BCIT’s School of Construction and the Environment is on the lookout for a full-time Electrical Instructor for a temporary position. You will deliver courses covering essential topics such as Electrical Foundation and Industrial Electrician. Responsibilities include preparing engaging lessons and providing evaluation while ensuring alignment with workplace standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct apprenticeship courses with a focus on employability
• Conduct evaluations and develop training materials
• Ensure resources are available for effective learning
• Manage classroom environments for optimal student engagement
• Motivate and support students, tailoring instruction to their needs
Requirements:
• Certificate of Qualification in Construction or Industrial Electrician
• Five years’ experience as a journeyperson
• Knowledge in PLC programming and electronics is a plus
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
