Join West Kitikmeot Resources Corp. as a Regulatory Specialist, supporting regulatory affairs in Calgary or Kitikmeot Region, NU. This is a full-time role focused on the NIRB assessment process.
The Regulatory Specialist will play a vital role in the Nunavut Impact Review Board (NIRB) assessment for the Grays Bay Road and Port Project. This position offers opportunities to coordinate regulatory processes, manage information submissions, and build essential relationships with regulators. The role will evolve from initial assessment to ongoing compliance as the project progresses through various phases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate WKR's participation in NIRB assessments
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory frameworks
• Track regulatory timelines and flag risks
• Assist with permit and licence applications
• Prepare internal briefing notes for leadership
Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Science or related field
• 3+ years in regulatory or compliance roles
• Familiarity with Nunavut's regulatory processes
• Solid written communication skills
• Willingness to travel within the region
