Confer with end-users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems and infrastructure development. Integrate networks, including WAN, LAN & Security technologies and their associated software into enterprise systems. Ensure system connectivity and availability of all network components. Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports. Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems. Formal Education & CertificationCollege diploma or university degree in IT or equivalent work experience. Certifications in Cisco, Fortinet, or similar technologies are an asset. Knowledge & Experience5+ years' work experience, manufacturing industry experience is an asset. Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis. Solid grounding in core enterprise network technologies, including Cisco, Fortinet, SD-Wan. Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including routing/switching, security, packet captures, firewalls, and more. Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Personal AttributesExceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work with integrity and challenge the status quo. Superior written and oral communication skills. Excellent technical support documentation skills. Robust interpersonal and consultative skills. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
