Your Responsibilities
- You'll lead a team of up to nine accounting professionals, providing coaching, workload management, and day-to-day operational leadership.
- You'll oversee full-cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end responsibilities.
- You'll coordinate quarter-end, year-end, and audit deliverables, preparing financial analyses and supporting working papers.
- You'll partner with internal stakeholders to provide accounting guidance, resolve complex issues, and ensure compliance with financial policies and legislation.
- You'll identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance the effective use of financial systems and technology.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory, management, or project leadership responsibilities.
- CPA designation required, along with a post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Strong full-cycle accounting experience with expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and transactional accounting.
- Experience leading teams, coaching employees, and balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
