The Procurement Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of a specific set of commodities and vendors to support Noble in their network operations.
Compensation: $100K-$120KLocation: Concord, ON Duration: Permanent Placement How you Contribute to Noble''s Success
Meet and exceed assigned performance goals, including cost savings, working capital, and efficiency improvements in order to support overall Procurement department , including but not limited to, data collection and review, market and vendor evaluation, contract negotiation and execution, monitoring compliance and , negotiations, awards, and (Operations, Transportation, Materials Management, etc.) for efficient and timely ordering and delivery of goods and , forums, demonstrations and exhibits to maintain professional competence and to keep current with technical literature
Constantly sourcing and evaluating new innovative suppliers'' abilities and capacities within assigned commodities
Occasional travel domestically and internationally, may be required
Must Haves and Nice to Haves
Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldSCMP designation or equivalent is a strong asset7-10 years of experience in a procurement function, at least 5 years in strategic roles (sourcing, commodities, vendor management)A valid Ontario Driver''s License and vehicle Job Skills and Knowledge
Proficient knowledge of contract negotiations
Ability to develop formal reports and presentations for senior management
In-depth experience with the procurement of assigned specific commodities is preferable and/or ability to quickly acquire such knowledge for unfamiliar commodities
Development and implementation of sourcing strategies, procurement, and process flow throughout the organization
Ability to identify potential supply chain risk and implement risk mitigation strategies
Practical knowledge of the tools for increasing negotiation leverage and buying power
Ability to engage supplier in collaborative projects on efficiency improvement and TCO reduction
Ability to process, manipulate, and analyze large amount of relevant data, to understand and evaluate supplier performance and recognize improvement opportunities
Strong relationship building skills General Skills and Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Power
Point, and MS Windows setting
Capability as a strategic thinker who is action-oriented, results-oriented, and driven to succeed
Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
Continuously seeking the opportunity for innovations and improvements within assigned authority
Accuracy, attention to details, comfortable with numbers and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
