It takes a society to take on cancer and the Canadian Cancer Society is leading the way MAKING AN IMPACT Reporting to the change management manager, this position will focus on change management processes and deliverables, including the development and delivery of training, with the goal of significantly increasing the likelihood of delivering intended benefits from organizational changes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that organizational changes, particularly digital transformation initiatives, are understood, supported, and successfully adopted.
They will develop and support the roll-out and administration of change and training strategies, plans, tools and processes, with the goal of building awareness and desire, improving knowledge and ability, and reinforcing changes.
Working closely with project managers and stakeholders across the organization, they will guide teams through change with empathy and a humancentered approach. WHAT YOULL BE DOING : Design, develop and implement learning programs Collaborate with stakeholders and conduct in-depth needs assessments to clarify learning objectives and outcomes.
Design, develop and deliver learning programs that help employees adopt and adapt to changes in the organization.
Design training materials such as slide decks, facilitator guides, elearning modules, and quickreference guides.
Work with subjectmatter experts to validate content and ensure accuracy.
Develop assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and continuously improve them.
Support the integration of recent skills into daytoday work through reinforcement activities and posttraining resources.
Change management planning and delivery Lead and coordinate changemanagement activities for small- to mediumsized projects, working closely with project managers throughout planning and delivery.
Facilitate collaborative workshops such as vision setting, impact analysis, current/future state mapping, and stakeholder assessments.
Develop and roll out key change deliverables (e.g., communication plans, training materials, impact assessments, stakeholder analyses).
Define success metrics and measurable outcomes for the people side of change, tracking adoption and communicating status updates.
Develop communications that are audiencespecific, easy to understand, and aligned with project objectives.
Stakeholder engagement and collaboration Build strong, trustbased relationships with project teams, leaders, and stakeholders across the organization to support effective and sustainable change adoption Guide individuals and teams through change with empathy and a humancentered approach, ensuring impacts are understood and support is tailored to stakeholder needs.
Pull from multiple change methodologies to select the most effective approach for each initiative.
Apply strong interpersonal and transferable skills to foster alignment, encourage collaboration, and create a supportive environment during periods of transformation.
Other duties as assigned Contribute to our culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging and equity (DIBE) by ensuring that all staff feel represented, valued, and heard across all aspects of their identity, including gender, age, religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, and sexuality. QUALIFICATIONS: University degree in Education, Communications, Psychology, Business, Organization Development or a related field.
Working knowledge of principles and practices of adult learning theories, and training within a workplace environment. 3+ years experience advising on and helping to execute change strategies on both projects and strategic initiatives. 3+ years experience in successful development and delivery of adult learning programs and employee training.
Knowledge and practical application of change management frameworks, practices, and tools,with the ability to tailor approaches to different initiatives.
Experience developing clear, engaging communications and learning materials.
Experience creating interactive and visual content to support change adoption and training.
Experienced at working collaboratively with, and influencing, staff at all levels of the organization.
Experience designing visually engaging Power
Point decks.
Proven ability to establish and maintain robust professional relationships with different personality types.
Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects that are multidimensional and encompass multiple work streams/subject matter.
Experience supporting digital transformation or technologydriven change is an asset.
Bilingualism (French/English) is highly preferred, with French being an asset due to the organizations nationwide operations and the need for effective communication across various regions.
