DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST - STATEMENT OF WORK SPECIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS: Description of the initiative/objectives Our customer is looking for: One (1) Senior Database Administrator, who is capable of analyzing, leading, participating and advising on an initiative for modeling, developing, implementing Enterprise Information Management to ensure the integrity, availability, accessibility of data or data services to accompany the applications; Role: Senior Database Administrator (one position) Responsibilities Install and configure various types of databases Respond to and resolve database performance issues includes SQL statement tuning Recommend to optimize and allocate physical data storage for database systems Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems Develop Data Governance (Policies, Procedures, Tools, etc) Build data foundation and integration(Data Service Layer, Metadata management, ETL) Work with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures Provide guidance and training to members of the team Develop data/information roadmap Experience Considerable hands-on experience and specialized knowledge related to large and complex organizational database and systems.

By all accounts, this person would be considered an expert in this field.

General & specific skills Robust understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices Working technical experience on Informix database with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database servers, including SQL Server, Oracle and DB2.





Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines Desire and ability to build high quality, professional documentation Ability to present findings and ideas to senior management in a clear and logical manner Experience in researching and developing ideas for presentation to management Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment but with a demonstrated history of being able to direct their own work and act independently.

Excellent organizational and communication skills Excellent investigative and research skills Specific Functional Knowledge or Background Must Have Information and Data architecture > 10 years Informix Database Administrator (designing, developing, installing, configuration) > 10 years Significant leadership experience leading technical teams > 5 years Significant experience producing technical documents (HLD/LLD) > 3 years Preferred Skills Zachman Enterprise Architecture (or similar accreditation) Relevant engineering degree/designation/certification Experience and understanding data flow in SOA Description of the work required and deliverables o All inclusive document that encompasses the current/future data interface and integration plans and recommendations o Assist and mentor DBA / development team o Install, configure and tune Informix database for the system. o Develop interface policies and procedures o Propose and recommend specific solutions in alignment with business and existing and planned architecture Transfer of Knowledge The entire contents of the document would be formally presented to project staff and several line managers at the conclusion of the incumbents contract.
