We work closely with other departments to create a holistic and engaging recreational experience.

Key Responsibilities Works with the Apotex Therapeutic Recreation and Culture & Arts teams to develop and execute therapeutic programs Completes documentation as required Attends interprofessional team meetings Interviews, orients, supervises and sets expectations with volunteers Contributes to interprofessional team and therapeutic recreation career development Coordinates services with other staff/departments Develops and maintains inventory of program supplies Qualifications Completion of a two (2) year College Diploma in Recreation or Activation or equivalent required At least 1 year experience in a Recreationist role or equivalent required Member in good standing with Therapeutic Recreation Ontario (TRO) or Activity Professionals of Ontario (APO) preferred Experience in planning, implementing and evaluating creative recreation preferred Experience in supervision of volunteers preferred Experience with a geriatric population with multiple medical conditions and/or cognitive impairment preferred Knowledge of community resources an asset Knowledge of Jewish culture, Holy Days and festivals are an asset Second language an asset, i.e.

Yiddish, Hebrew, Russian or Hungarian Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel Required Skills Required Experience
