Compliance Officer Insurance

Registrations isa seniorrole withintheBMO Registrations and Continuing Educationteam,accountable for thegovernance, oversight, and execution of insurancelicensing forBMO Estate Insurance Advisory Services Inc. (EIASI).

The role carriesenterpriselevel compliance and regulatory risk accountability, with responsibility for ensuring adherence toprovincial and territorial insurance regulatory requirements,maintainingthe firms licensing and E&O; controls, and acting as an escalation point for highrisk or complex registration matters.

This positionoperateswithsignificant independence, judgment, and influence, partnering with regulators, senior

Compliance leadership, and internal stakeholders across the organization.

Core Accountabilities Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Providenational oversightof insurance licensing and registration activities across all Canadianjurisdictionswhere EIASI operates.

Serve as akey regulatory interfacefor insurance registration matters, including interactions with provincial regulators and insurance councils.

Ensure compliance withjurisdictionspecific requirements, including licensing, supervision, continuing education, and renewal obligations.

Risk Management & Escalation Conduct and overseeriskbased screeningof insurance licensees, including assessment of criminal, civil, financial, and regulatory disclosures.

Exercise professional judgment toidentify, assess, and escalate regulatory riskto senior Compliance leadership or sponsoring insurers, asappropriate.

Act as anescalation pointfor complex or sensitive licensing and registration issues Licensing Lifecycle Management Maintain accountability for theendtoend insurance license lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, revivals, renewals, and terminations.

Sendtimelynotifications to applicable stakeholders, whoare responsible forensuring that individuals do not transact insurance business or receive compensation withoutappropriate licensingand authorization.

Oversee licensing supervision requirements and related control obligations. E&O; and Corporate License Oversight Maintain ownership of

Errors & Omissions (E&O;) insurance controls,



including onboarding, annual renewal coordination, and termination of coverage.

Ensuretimelyrenewal and maintenance ofcorporate and MGA licenses, recognizing their criticality to business operations and regulatory standing.

Data, Controls & Stakeholder Partnership Act as acontrol ownerfor insurance licensing records and reporting, ensuring data accuracy relied upon by regulators, supplier companies, and internal partners.

Provideauthoritative advice and guidanceto business lines, Compliance partners, and senior stakeholders on insurance registration matters.

Support compliance initiatives, audits, and special projects asrequired.

Qualifications & Capabilities Education & Experience Postsecondary diploma or university degree.

Typically,2-3years of insurance registrationor equivalent relevant experience.

Experience working within regulated financial services environments is strongly preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills Working knowledge of

Canadian insurance regulatory frameworks, including licensing, supervision, and E&O; requirements.

Strongrisk assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to apply judgment in ambiguous or highimpact situations.

Proven ability to workindependentlywhile managing competing priorities and regulatory deadlines.

Salary : $61,600.00 - $113,900.00 Pay Type: Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Groups pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.





Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position. BMO Financial Groups total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
