Take ownership ofdelivering timely and accurate bookkeeping, accounts payable, month-end / quarter-end close, sales tax filing preparation and management reportingresponsibilitiesfor a portfolio of Canadian clientsutilizing a variety of cloud-based software Prepare monthly or quarterly financial analysis and reporting,including participation in client discussions via Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams Respond to all client queries within 1 business day Prepare year-end financial statementsand supporting working papers including proposed adjusting entries.
For a subset of your clients on the CFO Plan, provide additional support as it relates to developing an annual budget, forecasts, supporting during external audits, debt/equity raises and other ad-hoc financial advisory services to help clients achieve their business priorities.
Proactively surface and resolve risks and issuesrelated to timeliness and quality of service to assigned clients Enhance sustainability and effectiveness of key processes byrecording training videos and creating step by step procedures Participate in improvement initiatives byidentifying process and experience pain points, analyzing root causes and implementing sustainable changes What you must have:
3+ years of full-cycle cloud bookkeeping or accounting using Quickbooks Online or Xero for a portfolio of 10+ clients simultaneously Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) is preferred Experience completing bank reconciliations, clearing accounts, and completing sales tax filings, payables and invoicing Prioritizes honesty, integrity and confidentiality to develop high-trust relationships with colleagues and clients Self-starter who works well autonomously and thrives in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and due dates to produce high quality deliverables Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Teams in particular) and a passion for technology.
