As a permanent full-time GIS Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining crucial GIS spatial and attribute data. Reporting to the Supervisor of GIS Operations, you will engage in data entry, quality control, and produce maps while assisting users with technical support. This role is essential to enhance community services through accurate GIS data management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain GIS spatial and attribute data
• Produce maps and conduct quality control
• Review municipal drawings for accuracy
• Provide technical support to end-users
• Perform geo-processing and data analysis
Requirements:
• Two years of GIS or Geomatics experience
• Two-year College Diploma in a related discipline
• One-year Certificate in Geographic Information Systems
• Proficient with ESRI Suite and Autodesk Suite
• Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge
