Service: Business & Tech Support Services Employment Type: 1 or more Part-time Continuous Positions up to 24 hours per week Affiliation: CUPE 503 PT - RC & Aquatics/CUPE 503 PT Rec Salary Information: $21.859 - $25.770 per hour (2024 rates of pay) Various Shifts: Days, Evenings, Weekends Location: Various locations City: Ottawa, ON Job Category: Recreation, Cultural & Facility Services Application Close: 06/06/2027 JOB SUMMARY The Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is responsible for building a healthy, inclusive and vibrant City, as well as ensuring that communities, residents and visitors have access to the recreation and cultural places, programs, events and services that allow them to experience all the benefits the City has to offer, and overseeing Buildings and Facilities Management for improved service delivery integration, ensuring the best possible client experience in City facilities.

You are responsible for assisting with the administration, scheduling, development, marketing, and/or promotion and advertising and implementation of arts classes, programs, exhibits, performances and events in the areas of theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, and/or media arts. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Enrolled in a college or university arts-related studies program and/or practicing in a one of the following disciplines: music, dance, theatre, visual arts, literary arts, media arts, or arts education.

Minimum of 2 years of practicing and/or teaching experience in related discipline, and have the technical skills and training required to safely use specialized equipment, i.e. pottery kilns, wheels, lighting, sets Completion of health and safety training required by legislation and by the Corporation of the City of Ottawa CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificatesAODA Customer Service/IASR Training KNOWLEDGE Excellent knowledge of the local arts community an asset Knowledge of Word Excel, MS Access,



and MS Outlook at an advanced level Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all City of Ottawa corporate/departmental policies and procedures related to Occupational Health and Safety COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Good oral and interpersonal communication skills Solid organizational skills, the ability to multi task and meet deadlines Excellent research and writing skills Ability to handle public inquires and artists requests Completion of health and safety training required by legislation and by the Corporation of the City of Ottawa WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Language Requirement: Various language requirements, locations may require English only, French only OR Bilingual competencies.
