Requisition ID:76157 Description The Diversified Analog Solutions team in Ottawa is developing wireless integrated circuit components and has a challenging opportunity for a University Student available for a 12-month work term.
The successful candidate will report to a senior engineering mentor assigned.
The ideal student will be required to apply sound engineering skills to a variety of tasks and project assignments in the area of electronics, design engineering, and semiconductor component test development.
Must be available to work onsite from January to December 2026.
Term: 12-month Co-Op (Jan ''26 - Dec ''26)
Responsibilities Contribute to the research and development of advanced RF integrated circuits and modules in the area of wireless technology.
The role primarily focuses on conducting lab tests onRF circuits and presenting/interpreting measurement data,but the successful candidate may also be involved in circuit simulation,presenting design expectations/results, and participating in design reviews.
Assist in new product engineering and design activities.
Assist full-time engineering group members with their project assignments.
Completion of small projects and task assignments of various degrees of complexity, ranging from RF/analog design and test environment programming, documentation, etc.
Required Experience and Skills Candidate must be currently enrolled in an MS or PhD Electrical Engineering (or related) degree program.
Experience withRF lab equipment, including oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum/signal analyzer, VNA, etc.
Basic knowledge of RF / analog circuits and principles.
Solid understanding of S-parameters and electromagnetics Desirable knowledge/experience includes: Familiarity with ADS, Cadence, or similar simulation tools Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation tools such as ADS Momentum/EMX/HFSS Basic familiarity with RF circuit blocks, such as PAs, LNAs, switches, etc.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic Must be willing to work in a hands-on environment Must have strong time management skills Positive communication, organization, and documentation skill
