About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President, People and Culture to join their senior management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies that enhance employee skills and experiences, with a focus on talent management, health and safety, and human resource initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the organization's current and future workforce needs are met, and it also involves providing leadership in engagement and participation activities with First Nations.



The Vice President will work in partnership with various sectors of the organization to identify and establish priorities that align with the company's strategic objectives.

Applicants for the Vice President, People and Culture position at the company should ideally hold a Bachelor’s degree or greater in a relevant field, with at least 10 years of progressive senior human resources leadership experience in a large, complex, unionized setting, preferably with a significant focus on health and safety. The role requires a champion of change with a proven track record in managing all aspects of human resources during organizational transformation. The ideal candidate will be an inclusive and empowering leader, known for their strategic thinking, collaboration, and client-service orientation. A Human Resources designation and proficiency in both official languages are considered assets. The Vice President will be expected to have a visible and engaging leadership style, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels.
